Multiple Joseph L. Inschos, Obediah Inschos and Moses Inschos have led to some confusion in these records. However, I believe that I have straightened out most of the confusion. However, there still appears to be a Moses Inscho which is not even part of this family tree (at least not branches in America) which some records mistakenly list as part of it. However, dates of birth and death, as well as location, indicate otherwise. The Moses Inscho listed here as the son of this Obediah Inscho appears to be the correct one. Likewise, this Obediah Inscho appears to be the son of Joseph L. Inscho Sr.

One source claims his birthdate as 1756, two sources claim his birth place as Maryland, but the Philadelphia Historical society claims he was born in 1758 in Delaware. They also list the spelling as Obadiah

The American Genealogy Bibliography Index lists Obadiah & James Inscho as working as teamsters (wagon drivers) according to the Revolutionary War Records, NJ:863

In the 1790 census of Northampton County, PA, Judith Jennings Inscho and Polly Inscho are listed. Obadiah may have been away working.

In 1798 Obadiah came to Tioga County, PA, according to the Philadelphia Historical Society records.

The will of Obadiah Inscho reads as follows:
